About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Remote Route Planner & Logistics Analyst to optimize their transportation network, supporting operations across the Western Cape, including the Paarl region. In this vital role, you will leverage data and specialized software to design the most efficient delivery routes, minimize transit times, and reduce operational costs. You will work independently, analyzing logistical data and coordinating with drivers and operations managers to implement effective strategies.
This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical individual with a passion for problem-solving and efficiency, seeking a fully remote position within the dynamic transport and logistics industry.
- Design and optimize delivery routes using advanced route planning software to maximize efficiency and minimize mileage.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for cost reduction.
- Coordinate with drivers and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of planned routes.
- Develop and maintain reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to route efficiency, delivery times, and fuel consumption.
- Proactively identify potential disruptions and develop contingency plans to ensure timely deliveries.
- Stay updated on best practices and new technologies in route planning and logistics analysis.
- Proven experience in route planning , logistics analysis, or transportation management.
- Proficiency with route optimization software (e.g., Route4
Me, Optimo Route, or similar). - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Familiarity with the transportation industry and its operational challenges.
