Our client is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Logistics Planner to join their fully remote team, focusing on optimizing supply chain routes and schedules for their operations spanning regions including Nelspruit . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods. You will leverage advanced planning tools and your expertise in logistics to design optimal transportation networks, manage carrier relationships, and improve overall supply chain performance.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive planner to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment and drive efficiency from a remote location.
- Develop and implement optimized logistics and transportation plans to meet business objectives and customer demands.
- Analyze transportation data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve delivery efficiency.
- Select appropriate carriers and negotiate transportation rates and contracts.
- Manage and track shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and proactively resolving any logistical challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and operations, to align logistics plans with overall business strategies.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and technologies related to logistics planning and transportation management.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or supply chain coordination.
- Proven ability to develop and execute complex logistics plans.
- Strong understanding of transportation modes, routes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in logistics planning software and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
