Regional Transport Coordinator

Our client is seeking a proactive Regional Transport Coordinator to oversee logistics and fleet management from their Klerksdorp hub. This pivotal role ensures the efficient movement of goods and resources across the North West province, involving route planning, driver management, and operational oversight. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of transport regulations, and the ability to coordinate multiple moving parts effectively.

This position requires a blend of office-based planning and occasional on-site supervision, offering a dynamic role for an experienced logistics professional.

• Develop and optimize delivery routes and schedules for the regional fleet to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Manage and support a team of drivers, providing guidance and addressing operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with all national and provincial transport regulations and safety standards.
• Monitor fleet performance, tracking vehicle maintenance schedules and ensuring operational readiness.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth logistical operations.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, driver activities, and transport costs.

• Proven experience in transport management, logistics coordination, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of fleet management software and route optimization tools.
• Excellent knowledge of the Klerksdorp area and broader North West transportation networks.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, management, and external partners.
• A valid driver's license is required for occasional site visits and field support.
