Remote Dispatcher and Fleet Coordinator

Our client is looking for a dedicated and efficient Remote Dispatcher and Fleet Coordinator to manage their transportation logistics from a home-based office. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our delivery services, coordinating drivers, monitoring vehicle status, and resolving any immediate logistical issues that arise. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

You will be the central point of contact for drivers, customers, and operational support teams, playing a vital part in maintaining delivery schedules and upholding high service standards for operations serving the Klerksdorp region and beyond.

• Dispatch drivers efficiently, assigning routes and monitoring their progress throughout the day using fleet management software.
• Act as the primary liaison between drivers, management, and customers, providing clear and timely communication.
• Respond promptly to and resolve operational issues, such as delivery delays, vehicle breakdowns, or customer complaints.
• Track vehicle locations and status, ensuring adherence to schedules and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate digital records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and delivery confirmations.
• Assist in the planning and optimization of delivery routes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a similar operational role.
• Strong understanding of route planning and fleet management principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
