Fleet Manager; Remote

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Fleet Manager to oversee their transportation fleet operations remotely. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of fleet management principles, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance scheduling, compliance, and cost control. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of the entire fleet, working closely with drivers and maintenance teams across various locations.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader adept at leveraging technology to optimize fleet performance and ensure regulatory adherence in a distributed operational model.

• Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Oversee vehicle acquisition, disposal, and maintenance programs to minimize downtime and costs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, licensing, and insurance requirements.
• Monitor fleet performance metrics, including fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and driver behavior.
• Implement strategies for accident prevention and driver safety training.
• Manage relationships with vehicle suppliers, maintenance providers, and regulatory bodies.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management or a similar transportation management role.
• Proven track record in managing diverse vehicle fleets and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance, telematics, and transportation management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
