Remote Logistics Coordinator & Dispatcher

Our client, a fast-growing national logistics and delivery company, is seeking a highly organized and efficient Remote Logistics Coordinator & Dispatcher to manage and optimize their delivery operations. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in South Africa . You will be responsible for coordinating drivers, planning optimal delivery routes, managing dispatch schedules, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

• Coordinate and schedule daily delivery routes for a fleet of vehicles.
• Assign tasks to drivers, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Utilize logistics software to plan, track, and optimize delivery routes.
• Monitor driver performance and provide support and guidance as needed.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams regarding delivery status and potential delays.
• Manage and resolve any issues that arise during the delivery process, such as traffic disruptions or vehicle breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and operational data.
• Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Prepare reports on operational performance, delivery metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Dispatcher, or in a similar role within the transportation or logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of route planning and optimization software (e.g., Route4
  
  Me, Maximo, etc.).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management platforms.
• Ability to multitask and make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa.
• Familiarity with fleet management principles is a plus.
