Senior Delivery Fleet Coordinator

About the Role Our client, a rapidly expanding e-commerce logistics provider, is seeking a Senior Delivery Fleet Coordinator to enhance their operational efficiency in Rustenburg . This role is crucial for managing the day-to-day operations of our client's delivery fleet, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management, dispatch, and driver coordination.

You will be responsible for optimizing routes, monitoring driver performance, and resolving operational challenges that impact delivery schedules. This position offers a hybrid work model, blending essential on-site presence for operational oversight with the flexibility of remote work. You will work closely with dispatchers, drivers, and management to maintain high service standards and contribute to the overall success of our client's transportation division.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can lead by example and drive continuous improvement within the fleet operations.

• Oversee the daily dispatch and scheduling of the delivery fleet to maximize efficiency and meet delivery targets.
• Monitor driver activities, providing real-time support and ensuring adherence to schedules and company policies.
• Analyze delivery data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for route optimization and cost reduction.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure fleet reliability.
• Liaise with warehouse operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery processes.
• Manage driver performance, providing feedback, coaching, and conducting performance reviews.
• Address and resolve customer complaints or delivery issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and legal requirements within the transportation sector.
• Assist in the onboarding and training of new drivers and dispatch personnel.
• Contribute to strategic planning for fleet expansion and operational improvements.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet coordination, dispatch, or a similar role within the Driving & Transport industry.
• Proven track record in optimizing delivery routes and managing driver performance.
• Strong understanding of fleet management software and GPS tracking systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be comfortable with a hybrid work arrangement, requiring presence in the Rustenburg office as needed.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance best practices.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license is essential.
