Our client, a national transportation and logistics enterprise, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Fleet Dispatch Coordinator to manage their fleet operations from a remote location. This critical role involves overseeing driver schedules, optimizing delivery routes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining seamless communication across the entire logistics network. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a strong understanding of dispatch software and logistics principles, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.

You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods, managing potential disruptions, and supporting a large team of drivers. The role is based in principle around the Welkom region, but is fully remote.

• Coordinate and schedule drivers and vehicles for optimal route planning and delivery efficiency.
• Monitor real-time fleet activity, ensuring adherence to schedules and addressing any deviations proactively.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal departments to resolve issues and provide updates.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, including driver logs, delivery confirmations, and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Manage unexpected disruptions, such as traffic delays or vehicle breakdowns, by rerouting or reassigning resources.
• Utilize dispatch software and other technological tools to enhance operational oversight.
• Analyze dispatch data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.

• Proven experience in fleet dispatch, logistics coordination, or a related transportation management role.
• Proficiency with dispatch management software and GPS tracking systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, remote setting.
• Strong understanding of South African transportation laws and safety regulations.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
