Storekeeper 2 – Iowa Department of Revenue, Lottery Division

We are seeking a dedicated Storekeeper 2 to join our Warehouse team at the Iowa Department of Revenue’s Lottery Division. The Lottery Division generates revenue for state programs supporting veterans, economic development, law enforcement, education, and agriculture.

• Perform warehouse tasks related to receiving, storing, handling, packaging, labeling, and shipping lottery instant and pull-tab tickets and promotional materials.
• Operate forklift and other equipment to unload, load, sort, and store lottery tickets and promotional materials weighing up to 55 lbs.
• Process orders for distribution to four regional offices and 2,400 retailer locations in Iowa.
• Stand at an assigned station on a conveyor system to fulfill ticket orders from retailers.
• Receive and check incoming lottery tickets and materials.
• Inventory and track tickets and materials stored in the warehouse.

• Experience handling, storing, and issuing product/materials.
• Experience in full‑time clerical, inventory, warehousing, or related work.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Previous experience working with vendors or retailers.

• Knowledge of the objectives of a supply system operation.
• Ability to learn and apply departmental supply regulations and procedures.
• Ability to operate personal computers and use word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform prolonged physical labor.

Experience equal to two years of full‑time clerical, inventory, stores, supply, warehousing or other job related work; OR employees with current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to twelve months of full‑time work as a Storekeeper 1.

Designated positions in this job class require applicants to obtain the required Commercial Driver’s License and endorsements within a period of time as determined by the appointing authority at the time of hire.

Applicants must live within the State of Iowa to qualify for this position.

Background check including a criminal history check, fingerprint, and Iowa tax filing check will be conducted on the final candidate.
