SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on financial data, financial projections, and results of analysis.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or another related field of study; or 0 - 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree desired, but not required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS- Ability to multi task, work effectively in a high production environment, and respond quickly and productively under pressure, tight timelines, and changing priorities
- Team player, who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges
- Ability to use/customize complex financial models, as well as familiarity with financial concepts, practices and procedures
- Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Internally motivated and proactive to seek out alternative ideas to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the group through the development of new skills and generation of new ideas.
This position requires strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, as well as the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions effectively. Requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical literature, and government regulations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITYStrong analytical skills with the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have a strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and profitability models (SQL; Crystal report writing tools, advanced modeling skills using Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access) and experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
