We are a well-established and growing mid-sized CPA firm serving a diverse client base that includes closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and multi-entity structures. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join our leadership team.
The OpportunityThis is a hybrid role offering meaningful flexibility, exposure to complex tax matters, and a clear path for continued advancement. The ideal candidate enjoys client interaction, mentoring staff, and taking ownership of engagements while working in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive tax planning and advisory services
- Oversee multiple engagements, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery
- Research complex tax issues and develop practical solutions
- Mentor and develop senior associates and staff
- Collaborate with firm leadership on process improvements and firm growth initiatives
- CPA license required
- 6+ years of public accounting tax experience (manager-level candidates); 8+ years for senior manager consideration
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and multi-state taxation
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead engagements
- Experience mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Hybrid work schedule (2 days per week - in-office and remote flexibility)
- Competitive compensation based on experience (up to $200K Base)
