Data Analyst (With statistical and analytical programming)

Location:

Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 3 Days/week onsite)

Contract Duration: 6-12+ Months

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong analytical and technical expertise to join our team on a 6+ month onsite contract in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have experience in data cleansing, analysis, visualization, and reporting, with a strong foundation in statistics and mathematics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanse, prepare, and validate large datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Explore and analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Apply statistical methods to interpret and derive actionable insights from data.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and communicate findings effectively.
  • Leverage expertise in the domain to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Utilize programming languages and tools to automate processes, manipulate data, and implement analytical models.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and Oracle for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience with Simulink/MATLAB for data modeling and analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical and analytical programming languages such as R, Python, and MATLAB
    .
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills to support data analysis and modeling.
  • Ability to create visualizations, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, exploration, and visualization.
  • Strong domain knowledge relevant to the organization s data and operations.
