QA​/Software Tester​/Functional Tester _ Hybrid - Toronto _ Ont

Role: QA / Software Tester / Functional Tester (6-8+ Years of experience)

Location:

Toronto, ON (Downtown) Hybrid (3 days/week Onsite) Type: 6+ Months Contract (Possible Extension) Banking domain experience is mandatory

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced QA / Automation Tester / Functional Tester with strong hands‑on testing experience across web and API-based applications. The ideal candidate will have solid functional testing, test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and familiarity working in Agile environments.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for multiple applications.
• Write and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data
  .
• Execute test cycles and track defects using tools like JIRA / Azure Dev Ops
  .
• Collaborate closely with BA, Developers, Product Owners and other QA team members.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman / SOAP UI
  .
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

• 6 8 years of experience in Manual / Functional Testing
  .
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle
  .
• Experience testing web applications and REST APIs
  .
• Good experience working in Agile / Scrum environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
• Exposure to automation (Selenium / Cypress) is a plus.
