The Leadman for Poly Film Extrusion is a full-time, on-site role based in Ontario, California. This position oversees daily operations on the poly film extrusion lines, including machine setup, start-up, operation, and shutdown to ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met. The Leadman position coordinates and trains extrusion operators, assigns tasks, monitors workflow, and supports troubleshooting of equipment and process issues.

Responsibilities include inspecting materials and finished film, maintaining accurate production records, and collaborating with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime and defects. The role also involves enforcing safety procedures, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and communicating effectively with supervisors and other departments regarding schedule changes, materials, and performance.

• Experience leading or supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment, ideally in plastics, poly film extrusion, or related industrial processes.
• Hands-on knowledge of extrusion equipment setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting, with a strong focus on safety and quality standards.
• Ability to read production orders, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain accurate documentation and production logs.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and coaching skills, with the ability to train and support team members across shifts.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to identify process issues and collaborate with maintenance on corrective actions.
• Willingness to work on-site in Ontario, CA, with flexibility for shift work or overtime as production demands require.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in plastics, manufacturing, or industrial operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices is beneficial.
• For documentation and training needs, the ability to support or collaborate on internal content using Writing skills.
• For optional support in training, safety, or process documentation, it is beneficial to possess skills in Video Production, Film Production, Documentaries, and Photography to create visual guides and instructional materials.
