We’re currently seeking a dedicated Section Head - Blood Bank (MT) to join our Laboratory Department at our Ontario location
. Under the supervision of the Laboratory Director or Manager, the Section Head provides laboratory services to meet the needs of patients performed in accordance with accepted standards and practices. The role directs, supervises, and coordinates functions and activities in the clinical Laboratory. Responsibilities include performing routine and special laboratory procedures, receiving blood specimens, conducting blood tests and studies, and maintaining limited microbiology duties at satellite campuses.

• Provide laboratory services in accordance with accepted standards and practices.
• Directly supervise and coordinate laboratory functions and activities.
• Perform routine and special laboratory procedures related to blood banking.
• Receive and process blood specimens, conduct blood tests and morphological studies.
• Maintain limited microbiology duties at satellite campuses.

• Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology, or Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited college.
• Four years of technical experience, with at least one year in a blood bank setting.

• National certification (ASCP or AMT).
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related science.
