Retail Assistant Manager

Cannabis & Glass is seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant Manager to help lead retail store operations. As a key part of the store leadership team, you will supervise employees, manage inventory and cash processes, uphold compliance standards, and ensure outstanding customer experience.

About the Role:

The Assistant Manager will oversee daily retail operations, coordinate shift coverage and staff scheduling, provide on-the-spot coaching, and maintain performance standards. You will enforce store policies and procedures, communicate effectively with store leadership and corporate teams, and maintain a clean, welcoming, and service-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily retail operations including opening/closing duties
• Coordinate shift coverage and staff scheduling to ensure proper coverage
• Provide on-the-spot coaching, support team development, and maintain performance standards
• Enforce store policies and procedures to uphold compliance and consistency
• Communicate effectively with store leadership and corporate teams

Customer Service & Experience

• Maintain a clean, welcoming, and service-driven environment
• Support customers at every touchpoint—resolving issues promptly and professionally
• Champion loyalty programs, promotions, and upselling strategies
• Train staff on service best practices and ensure a strong customer-first culture

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of retail or supervisory experience
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous retail, sales and/or customer service experience
• Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and holidays
• Ability to perform essential job functions such as standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly
