MANAGER OF NON-ONCOLOGY INFUSION POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Infusion Center of East Alabama Medical Center is responsible for the management of personnel, operations, informatics, and regulatory compliance of the Infusion Center of East Alabama Medical Center. The manager is a senior member of the department clinical team. The manager oversees work standards, competencies, education, work schedules, inventory, budgeting, financial statements, and workflow for the department. The manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with accreditation and expanding business growth and development of the reporting service line.
As a member of the Leadership Team, the manager contributes to departmental oversight, teamwork, and strategy under the leadership of the Director of Outpatient Pharmacy Services. The Manager of Infusion Center of East Alabama Medical Center works with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement programs and services in support of the organization’s mission and strategic plan.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- 3-5 years clinical nursing experience
- Alabama Board of Nursing License
- BLS within 90 days of date of hire/transfer
- ONS required within 180 days of date of hire/transfer
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related healthcare field
- 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in infusion therapy, oncology, or acute care setting
- 2 years in a supervisory/managerial nursing role
- Prior/current ONS certification
- ACLS
- Strong knowledge of infusion therapies (antibiotics, biologics, immune globulins, etc), infection control, and emergency response.
- Knowledge of revenue cycle processes (insurance verification, prior authorizations, medical billing and coding).
- Proficiency in EMR system and Microsoft Office products.
- Attend continuing education conferences, webinars, etc., and complete CEUs related to the operations of outpatient infusion centers.
- Demonstrate excellent skills in the following areas - organization, written and oral communication, team collaboration, problem solving, time management, and adaptability.
- Strong time management, business management, and critical thinking skills.
- Perform other Infusion Center operational duties as required
