EMT BASIC - AU EVENT STAFF

• POSITION SUMMARY

  The EMT I performs pre-hospital care in a holistic systematic way, produces quality patient care with optimal patient outcomes. Utilizes State of Alabama Protocols to deliver quality patient care. Incorporates data and information to improve patient care. Performs a comprehensive patient assessment by interpreting multiple, at times conflicting data, and proceeding to give patient care based on findings. Documents patient care activities and relays pertinent patient information to those who have a need to know.

• POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum Education

    High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum Experience

    N/A

  • Required Registration/License/Certification
    • BLS obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer
    • credentialed as required by the State of Alabama DPH EMS Division at the Basic EMT level
    • Driver’s license
    • State of Alabama license for EMT Basic
    • National Registry upon hire unless grandfathered in before registry was mandatory
  • Preferred Education

    Associates Degree

  • Preferred Experience

    Two years field experience

  • Preferred Registration/License/Certification

    EVOC, National Registry
