Position: IT Helpdesk Specialist I

Job Purpose: IT Helpdesk support – Provide first-line technical support to ensure reliable daily IT operations. Focus on resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Installing and maintaining computer systems, and managing Helpdesk requests.

Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

  • Install, troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Install computer peripheral components, such as memory, circuit boards & other parts.
  • Install software/packages such as Windows OS, Microsoft Office, drawing software and any other approved applications.
  • Provide & manage cable connections for telephone & PC.
  • Provide periodic training to end users.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize end-user issues to ensure queries are resolved successfully.
  • Manage and prioritize Helpdesk tickets using helpdesk software.
  • Manage and track all IT assets (hardware & software).
  • Manage the IT server room, IT storage and UPS systems.
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Prefer – Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with 5 years' experience. Required – 2 Years of Associate's Degree in a related field, with 3-5 years' experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office, emailing clients, and common business applications.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot office printers, label printers, scanners, PDAs, tablets and other peripherals.
  • Highly self-motivated, dedicated, ability to work independently and be results-driven.
  • Positive and optimistic approach to problem-solving.
  • Collaborative team spirit.
