Job Title

Grinding Room Forklift Operator

Responsible for transporting raw materials to the grinding room and removing trash and pallets from the grinding room. The Forklift Operator ensures that all raw material is pulled on a FIFO basis and as allocated on the line‑up sheet or supervised instruction.

• Operate forklift in accordance with Golden State Foods forklift operating procedures.
• Transport meat to the grinding room (40%).
• Load and unload vat dumper (25%).
• Notify blender operator of the raw material being used (5%).
• Review products for foreign material and specification compliance (5%).
• Remove containers and pallets from the grinding room (10%).
• Responsible for housekeeping in product areas (10%).
• Relieve and perform other jobs (5%).

• Safety and operating:
  Have a valid forklift operator’s license; report problems; follow battery charging procedures.
• Transport:
  Use line‑up list; ensure proper labeling; maintain FIFO and limits on pallets.
• Loading & unloading vat dumper:
  Follow loading sequence, secure combos, notify operators.
• Container and pallet procedures:
  Stack, wash, and dispose appropriately.
• Housekeeping:
  Keep the grinding room, chill room, and tempering room clean.
• Notify blender operator of raw materials and QA samples.
• Review raw materials for foreign matter and report non‑compliance.

• Valid Golden State Foods operator’s certificate.
• Good reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Good vision, hearing, and sense of smell.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds and perform required physical tasks.
