Material Handler - AL

Overview

Material Handler - AL role at HL Mando America Corporation. The position involves distributing, moving, stocking, shipping and/or receiving a variety of parts and equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.

• Comply with material handling and safety requirements; operate lift trucks to distribute, move, ship and/or receive specified parts or equipment. May require working at elevated heights (up to 50 feet).
• Obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company.
• Operate forklift equipment at least 80% of the time.
• Perform routine stocking duties such as picking, sorting, packing, stacking, loading, labeling, and related tasks.
• Keep accurate records of all transactions.
• Utilize internal computer systems for inventory control and accuracy.
• Complete cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Resolve routine material workflow problems with assigned equipment/part orders; escalate more complex issues as needed.
• Interface with multiple departments on routine issues.
• Follow standard work procedures to complete tasks.
• Support the 5S program to maintain a neat, organized work area, equipment and supplies.
• Contribute to process improvement through kaizen recommendations to update outdated or ineffective procedures.
• Perform related work as assigned and maintain regular attendance to support teamwork.

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• At least one year of warehouse experience required.
• Forklift operation experience strongly preferred.
• Able to interpret and develop work instructions.
• Understanding of system software necessary for the proper communication of shipping and customer documents.
• Thorough knowledge of customer routing and shipping requirements.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for interstate transport and shipment of products.
• Good planning skills and time-utilization ability.
