A Robot Patty Packing Operator ensures proper operation of the DCM Robotic Patty Packing machine, runs and monitors automated lines that pick, place, and pack food patties, focusing on setup, quality control, troubleshooting minor issues (like jams or misalignments), sanitation, and documentation
, ensuring continuous, efficient, and safe food production in a fast-paced environment, adhering strictly to food safety standards.

• Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently utilize computerized screens and controls to set up and operate Multivac packaging equipment.
• Monitoring and Adjustment: Continuously monitor machine performance, making necessary adjustments to settings to maintain optimal operation and product specifications.
• Quality Control: Inspect packaging samples to ensure they meet quality standards, are correctly labeled, and comply with product descriptions.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing minor parts. Troubleshoot basic mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime.
• Sanitation & Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines, including SSOPs (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures) and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), using appropriate chemicals and tools for cleaning the equipment and work area.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate production records and report any irregularities or maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Teamwork & Training: Collaborate with quality control, maintenance teams, and fellow operators. May assist in training new personnel on machine operation and safety protocols.
• Compliance with all other duties assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must display “hands on knowledge” of all assigned machines and procedures in the Grinding Room, forming area, Packaging area, Auto Packer area, Scale Room area, and/or Finished Product Robot area.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to use effective problem-solving skills.

• Ability to use mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, in accordance with production paperwork.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.

• Ability to perform a variety of tasks in the meat department.
• Ability to visually differentiate items of color, up close and in the distance

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing.
• Stand/walk 7 or more hours per day.
• Constantly use eye/hand or eye/hand/foot coordination to perform tasks.
• Constantly twist/turn, talk/hear, and taste/smell.
• Frequently squat, bend, reach, handle/finger, grip/grasp and use fine motor tasks.
• Frequently lift up to 25 lbs. from floor to overhead and carry 30-50 feet.
• Occasionally climb.
• Occasionally lift up to 60 lbs. from floor to shoulder level and carry 30 feet.
• Push 60 lbs. block of frozen meat 1-5 feet.
