Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading the operations of the grooming salon, achieving targeted goals and driving results to grow the business. This includes overseeing daily operations of the salon, training and coaching staff, and providing exceptional customer service to all pet parents and their dogs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a Salon Leader, you must be available, flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented. Your responsibilities include:

• Maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
• Working scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Supporting selling initiatives by engaging with customers and pets, advising on products or services, and making the experience memorable.
• Managing daily salon operations, including scheduling, safety checklists, and audits.
• Assisting in hiring, onboarding, training, mentoring, and evaluating grooming staff.
• Partnering with the Store Manager to manage business operations.
• Driving salon growth through customer outreach, appointments, community events, and collaborations.
• Leading and developing the salon team, coaching, and reviewing performance metrics.
• Providing professional grooming services, ensuring safe pet handling, and maintaining equipment.
• Ensuring animal safety and well-being, inspecting animals, and reporting findings.
• Practicing safety and sanitization protocols, maintaining records, and operating computers.
• Enforcing salon policies and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of experience, High School Diploma required. Relevant education and experience will be considered.

Skills and Abilities
Operate grooming tools, communicate effectively, show compassion for animals, pay attention to detail, problem-solving, basic computer skills, and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions
Indoor and outdoor environments, exposure to wet conditions, sharp tools, pets, and varying shift hours.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to move, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate equipment safely for extended periods.
