LPN – Opelousas

Job Description

The Family Clinic of Opelousas currently seeks a LPN to provide quality nursing care services to the patients of our Internal Medicine clinic. In this position the LPN will assist physicians with patient care, scheduling, injections, pre-cert procedures, referrals, Rx call-ins and phone triage.

• obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Coordinate the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check‑in and check‑out, and patient medical record maintenance.
• Prepare treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assist practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
• Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Prepare and administer medications for patients as directed by physicians.

Full-Time

• Must have at least 1-year experience in a clinical setting
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• A patient-focused work ethic
• The experience and skills to work in a medical office

• Current Louisiana License
• Demonstrated, successful organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• The ability to effectively and proactively communicate, both verbally and in writing

2-Year College Graduate

Hourly

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm; schedule may vary as needed
