Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate offers an hourly wage and commission based on productivity. Pay depends on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions
  • Perform non-management open/close procedures
  • Keep the sales floor clean and stocked; maintain merchandise displays
  • Process sales and loan transactions according to policies and procedures
  • Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures
  • Answer incoming calls per company standards
  • Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers
  • Collaborate with all employees to create a positive customer experience
  • Complete training successfully
  • Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
  • May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage
  • Minimum Age: 18
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently
  • Cash handling experience is preferred
  • Must be able to work at multiple locations as needed
  • Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems
Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on personal performance. Details provided during the interview process.
