Job Overview
Sun Outdoors Orange Beach is seeking a friendly, customer-focused full‑time Lead Front Office Agent to join our team. The pay for this position is $17 to $18 per hour based on experience. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will provide exceptional hospitality, assist guests with check‑ins and check‑outs, handle reservations, and ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all visitors while performing light bookkeeping duties including cash handling and invoice processing.
This is a great opportunity to work in a fun, fast‑paced resort environment while helping guests enjoy our accommodations, pools, arcade, and other amenities.
- Greet and welcome guests warmly and provide excellent customer service.
- Process check‑ins, check‑outs, and reservations accurately and efficiently.
- Answer phone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and provide information about resort amenities and local attractions.
- Handle payments, process transactions, and maintain accurate records.
- Balance the cash drawer daily and prepare transaction reports.
- Process invoices, post charges, and assist with basic expense records.
- Maintain organized and accurate front office files and records.
- Assist with resolving guest concerns or complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Sort through and send resort comments, suggestions, and complaints to the Resort Manager.
- Prepare and distribute resort communications such as rule reminders, violation notices, newsletters, etc.
- Ensure office supplies are sufficiently stocked and prepare supply orders as needed.
- Maintain petty cash fund.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Uphold resort policies and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest‑first mindset.
- Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency, ability to use Microsoft 365.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must be detail‑oriented, organized, and reliable.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Base pay of $17.00 to $18.00 per hour based on experience.
