Regional Director of Operations Lead a Marriott Hotel Steps from the Gulf of Mexico Sugar-white sand, emerald water, and a hotel ready for a leader who wants to win. A&R Group is hiring an experienced Hotel General Manager for the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Orange Beach, a 116-room select-service hotel in one of the busiest leisure markets on the Gulf Coast.

This is not a “keep the lights on” role. We want a hands-on, guest-obsessed, numbers-driven GM who builds great teams, drives RevPAR, grows guest satisfaction scores, and makes this hotel the first choice for beach vacationers, families, sports groups, and business travelers visiting Orange Beach and Gulf Shores.

What You’ll DoDrive Revenue & Profitability Own the hotel’s full P&L, annual budget, forecasting, and financial performance

Partner with revenue management to maximize RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and RevPAR Index (STR market share)
Manage labor, payroll, and operating expenses to hit GOP and flow-through targets

Lead local sales efforts: group sales, sports teams, weddings, corporate accounts, and tour operators

Deliver an Outstanding Guest Experience Champion Marriott Bonvoy brand standards and the Fairfield 100% Guarantee Raise guest satisfaction (GSS), online reputation, and Trip Advisor/Google review scores

Respond to guest feedback and resolve issues quickly and personally

Ensure clean, safe, well-maintained rooms, pool, breakfast, and public areas

Build & Lead a Winning Team Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain a strong team across front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and breakfast

Develop department leaders and create a culture people want to stay inPlan seasonal staffing for peak summer, spring break, and event weekends

Lead by example and by walking the floor, not from behind a desk Protect the Asset Oversee preventive maintenance, capital projects, and PIP/renovation work Ensure compliance with brand audits, quality assurance, life safety, OSHA, and local regulations

Maintain hurricane preparedness and emergency response plans

What You Bring3+ years as a Hotel General Manager, or 5+ years in hotel leadership (Assistant GM, Director of Operations, Front Office Manager) ready for the next step Marriott brand experience strongly preferred (Fairfield, Courtyard, Spring Hill Suites, Towne Place, Residence Inn);
Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, or Choice select-service experience also welcome

Proven track record improving RevPAR, guest satisfaction, and profitability

Strong financial skills: P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, cost control

Experience with hotel property management systems (Opera Cloud or similar), revenue management tools, and STR reports

Resort or seasonal leisure market experience a big plus Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak season

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
