Minimum

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work well with others in achieving goals of the Security Department.
• Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
• Can effectively work under pressure.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, walk stairs (to every level of a 15+ story building) and able to lift 40 pounds.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Guards, patrols, monitors, and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to Brett Robinson properties. Guards against theft and maintains security of premises, responds to Emergencies/Alarms, and assists Front Desk with room ejections due to misconduct.
• Performs physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, where activities often require considerable us of the arms and legs, such as in the physical handling of materials.
• Raise/Lower American Flags and beach condition flags (as required).
• Notifies police/fire departments in case of emergency situations.
• Monitors Security Cameras covering the assigned property.
• Completes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized person, or unusual occurrences.
• Monitors and Reports safety hazards.
• Provides information, directions, and courteous assistance to condominium owners and guests.
• Checks vehicles on property for appropriate parking passes. Notifies towing or booting companies when directed by Supervisor.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work flexible hours, seven days a week.
• Required security uniform apparel must be worn. Must be washed/pressed, free from holes and stains. Safety non-slip shoes for footwear.
• Adhere to company grooming and uniform standards.
• Reports to Director of Security and Shift Commander.

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Must be able to obtain a State of Alabama Security Guard License. We will provide assistance with this process.
• Satisfactorily complete a Brett Robinson Security Certification Class/Evaluation.
• Must pass a Background Investigation.
• Successfully complete a drug urinalysis test (Administered through Brett Robinson Gulf Corp.)
• Experience in Military, Law Enforcement, or as a First Responder is beneficial.
