Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
  • When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
  • Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events.
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
  • Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
  • Understand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet.
  • Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use these features.
  • Handle returns by following register prompts and partnering with immediate Leaders as needed to solve guest issues while following Target’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal.
  • Stock supplies during store hours while being available for the guest.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work in a safe manner and report hazards.
  • Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, and DU Returns with compliance to policies including applicable laws.
  • All other duties based on business needs.

  • Ability to use multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other equipment as directed.

  • Maintain focus and composure in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.
Requirements and Work Environment
  • Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office operations as needed.
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
  • Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance is necessary.
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
  • Work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
