Job Description
National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, offers personal and commercial insurance products through independent agents and direct consumer channels.
Responsibilities- Drive new business sales and build rapport with customers.
- Sell to walk‑in customers, perform marketing calls, and conduct in‑person visits.
- Attract new customers and cross‑sell existing ones.
- Build and retain an active book of business within the market/retail location.
- Support product offerings including Auto, Life, Auto Club, Roadside Assistance.
- Initiate outbound calling to the target customer base for product offerings.
- Monitor local competitors and suggest initiatives to improve market position.
- Work with Direct Sales Leadership on marketing and sales processes.
- Deliver optimal results within metrics such as quality, productivity, customer satisfaction and financial performance.
- Maintain knowledge of underwriting guidelines and company policies.
- Receive payments, issue receipts, and verify cash drawer receipts.
- 0–2 years of experience.
- P&C licensing (preferred) or attain required license within 90 days.
- Successfully close sales of insurance and ancillary products.
- Meet and exceed sales goals through new product sales and cross‑sell/retention.
- Leverage community contacts to build a sales pipeline.
- Maintain an active physical presence in the community and build referral sources.
- Work with leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes.
- Deliver optimal results within metrics such as quality, productivity, customer satisfaction and financial performance.
- Stay current on company underwriting guidelines and changes.
- Ensure compliance with all rules, procedures, and standards.
Base compensation: $17.50 per hour (unlicensed) or $20.00 per hour (licensed with 6 months P&C experience). Additional incentive pay, commissions, and bonuses are based on performance.
