Maintenance Specialist

Requirements: Full Time Mon-Friday 7:30am-4pm

• Some weekends
• Future oncall

• 5 Years experience
• Certification in either:
• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Restaurant/Appliance equipment repair a plus.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Assists other Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance on systems and equipment as required.
• Performs preventative maintenance duties to all physical structures and complies with all building & OSHA safety codes and regulations.
• Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
• Works days, evenings or nights as required performing required duties.
• Performs manual duties as requested.
• Uses and maintains basic tools and equipment required to perform duties.
• Attends in-service meetings, daily meetings & filling out work order forms.
• Replaces, installs, repairs, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, appliances, and lighting systems as required.
• Performs corrective, routine, and requisitioned work on plumbing systems as required.
• Performs corrective, routine, and requisitioned work on electrical and mechanical systems as required.
• Maintains and repairs controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
• Maintains and troubleshoots electrical wiring and emergency generator systems as required.
• Inspects and tests equipment/systems.
• Coordinates other Maintenance Technicians in repairs, installations, and/or projects.
• Responds to code red alerts.

Other Functions And Responsibilities

• Other duties as requested or assigned.

Educational, Physical, And Other Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent,
• Valid Florida driver's license in good standing.
• Experience in building/facility maintenance
• Vo-tech experience and/or certification/license in a related maintenance field required.
• Ability to read blueprints.

• The employee may be required to lift, stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; and smell.
• Vision abilities may require close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• For the safety and security of our residents and patients, employees must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
• Quality Assurance & Safety:
  Adherence to all OSHA/NFPA and building codes, adherence to all policies / procedures and safe work practices.
• Must supply own small power tool, hand tools, and specialty tools necessary for this position.
