Primary Care Physician
Position at Coastal Health, Orange Park/Fleming Island.
Position Overview- Provide and manage comprehensive patient care, including physical exams, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment regimens as appropriate.
- Refer patients to specialists and coordinate care across disciplines as needed.
- Work collaboratively with a team.
- Participate in health promotion, patient education, and disease prevention programs.
- Adhere to departmental policies, quality standards, and infection control procedures.
This is a 100% outpatient position — no inpatient coverage required.
Qualifications- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Unrestricted Florida medical license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Current, unrestricted DEA registration.
- No history of license revocation, restriction, or suspension.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.).
- 3–5 years of directly related experience (including residency).
- Federal DEA Certification.
- Excellent diagnostic, clinical, and communication skills.
- Strong ability to assess, observe, and document patient symptoms and progress.
- Knowledge of current medical care standards, pharmaceuticals, and treatment protocols.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience training or mentoring clinical staff is preferred.
