Key Responsibilities- Oversee mechanical and plumbing system design for buildings and infrastructure from initial planning to final construction.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, and detailed construction documents to ensure quality and compliance.
- Lead internal and external coordination across disciplines to manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Conduct on‑site investigations and provide construction phase support to validate design intent and troubleshoot issues.
- Serve as a client‑facing engineer, presenting updates, leading meetings, and representing engineering excellence with professionalism.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering their technical growth and quality of deliverables.
- Leverage industry‑standard design tools, including CADD, BIM, and simulation platforms, to develop efficient system solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an ABET‑accredited program.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical or plumbing system design.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead project components and team collaboration.
- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and energy efficiency standards.
- Experience coordinating across multi‑disciplinary teams on complex public or private sector building projects.
- Working knowledge of additional state licensure or willingness to obtain licensure outside Florida is a plus.
