We are looking for a dedicated Lead Food and Nutrition professional to join our team and contribute to high-quality food and nutrition services in a hospital setting.

Job Summary

The Lead Food and Nutrition Services coordinates the operations and activities of the Food and Nutrition Services Department within assigned hospital and department/campus locations. The coordinator provides consistent, high-quality service in a sanitary environment while ensuring adherence to State, Local, Federal and Joint Commission regulations, policies and procedures, and department standards of performance.

Evaluates existing systems and processes, initiates change and improvements, and makes suggestions to the Manager. Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all current policies, procedures and regulatory standards (TJC, OSHA, EEOC and others) within all food and nutrition services areas. Supports department leadership and acts to achieve the daily operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Department in assigned areas including but not limited to patient and non-patient food service, employee cafeteria, doctor’s dining room, catering and floor stock.

Coordinates the effective operation of assigned Food and Nutrition Services activities to provide an aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate operations and activities of the Food and Nutrition Services Department within the assigned hospital locations to ensure quality service and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate existing systems and processes; initiate changes and improvements; communicate recommendations to the Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with current policies, procedures and regulatory standards (TJC, OSHA, EEOC, and others) across all food and nutrition areas.
  • Support department leadership to achieve daily operations across patient and non-patient food service, employee cafeteria, doctor’s dining room, catering and floor stock.
  • Maintain an aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environment through coordinating and supervising department functions.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in food services or hospitality preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospital and health care operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospital and health care financial metrics preferred.
  • Licensure, Certifications, Training:
  • Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate Required.
  • State Food Handler Card, or Equivalent if applicable Required.
  • Local Food Handler Card, or Equivalent if applicable Required.
