Pharmacy Technicians are the frontline of our commitment to high‑quality, patient‑centered care. They support efficient pharmacy operations, ensuring prescriptions are filled accurately, safely, and with personalized customer service. Whether new to the field or experienced, you will receive a comprehensive training program, meet state licensing requirements, and grow your clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge while contributing to our mission to improve health outcomes for millions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in the dispensing of prescription medication.
- Prepare and label medication, verify prescription details.
- Maintain inventory and cycle count accuracy.
- Provide excellent customer service and medication education.
- Comply with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Adhere to all CVS Pharmacy policies, including safety, ethics, and confidentiality.
- Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including minimum age, education, and licensure/certification.
- Attention and focus: ability to concentrate on tasks for extended periods.
- Customer service orientation: friendly and proactive in assisting patients.
- Communication skills: verbal and written communication, active listening.
- Mathematical reasoning: ability to calculate supplies and totals.
- Problem resolution: identify issues, determine best course of action.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- PTCB National Certification.
- Remain upright on feet for extended periods; move between work areas.
- Pick, pin, type with fingers; extend hands/arms in any direction.
- Stoop, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Communicate verbally with clarity; perform visual tasks such as reading, inspecting small parts.
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.

Pay Range$16.00 – $25.00 per hour (base hourly rate). Actual base salary will vary by experience, geography and other factors.
