The Inpatient Rehab Registered Nurse demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients.

What you will do in this role:

• Promote customer service initiatives along with the Hospital Values while documenting all patient care.

• Utilize Nursing Process for individual care to meet needs of inpatient rehab patients.

• Perform duties in accordance with unit specific standards of care and evidenced by documentation, observation and competencies.

• Assessment completed within 24 hours of admission and each shift as needed by patient condition.

• Nursing Plan of Care is developed to meet individual patient needs according to nursing standard of care/practice within 24 hours of admissions. Plan is updated with any changes in patient condition at least every 24 hours.

• Formulate and take nursing actions to implement plan of care; record actions and patient response in Meditech.

• Provide patient education and documentation of understanding regarding tests, procedures, equipment and medications.

Qualifications:

· CRRN preferred

· Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for appropriate state

· Nursing degree – Diploma, AS, or BS

· BLS

· Direct inpatient rehab experience; one year or more preferred, involving extensive knowledge of rehab/criteria
