As the face of VCA
, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the entire hospital experience. You are often the first and last point of contact for our clients, making your role essential in building trust, confidence, and long‑lasting relationships.

The CSR is the hub around which the hospital operates and is responsible for ensuring smooth communication, outstanding service, and a positive client experience.

What You’ll Do

Customer service and administrative duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting clients and their pets warmly and professionally
  • Answering phones, scheduling, and confirming appointments
  • Guiding clients and pets to exam rooms and assisting with patient flow
  • Making outbound calls for appointment follow‑ups and prospective clients
  • Presenting and explaining fees and treatment estimates
  • Processing payments and handling financial transactions accurately
  • Recommending and coordinating products and services, including prescriptions
  • Educating clients on non‑medical pet care and preventive health (heartworm prevention, flea & tick control, housebreaking, etc.)
  • Managing medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming hospital environment, including light cleaning and removal of animal waste
What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is customer‑focused, organized, and calm under pressure. We are seeking someone who:

  • Has prior customer service experience (veterinary or medical experience preferred, but not required)
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and team members
  • Is compassionate, reliable, and detail‑oriented
  • Can multitask effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Works well both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Maintains a positive attitude and commitment to exceptional service
