Overview
Moosehaven is HIRING! We are looking for a Full time, 40 hours per week Maintenance Tech to join our TEAM. The ideal candidate must be dependable, likes to work with people, is comfortable using the computer and has a valid Florida drivers license.
General Summary: The Maintenance Technician II (Tech II) demonstrates a strong commitment to the vision, mission, and goals of Moosehaven while modeling the organization's culture of caring. This position is responsible for providing high-quality maintenance services to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
The Tech II performs a wide range of skilled maintenance duties, including inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment, and campus support systems at both on-site and off-site locations. This role requires a high level of accountability, initiative, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and pride in workmanship.

- Respond promptly to daily maintenance needs, work orders, and emergent situations.
- Inspect, test, and maintain facility equipment and components according to preventive maintenance schedules and documentation requirements.
- Perform service and repairs to campus support systems, including tube and linen chute systems.
- Maintain, service, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including fans, motors, thermostats, dampers, filters, and controls.
- Perform routine electrical maintenance, including re-lamping, ballast replacement, wiring, switches, and circuit modifications.
- Perform plumbing maintenance for potable and sanitary water systems and fixtures.
- Perform basic carpentry work, including ceiling tile replacement, fixture mounting, and picture hanging.
- Perform wall and floor repairs, including patching, painting, tile replacement, and finishing work.
- Complete required documentation for work orders, preventive maintenance, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
- Adapt to changing duties and support all departments and off-site facilities as needed.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety practices.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot, service, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on facility systems.
- Familiarity with applicable codes, tools, materials, and equipment used in maintenance trades.
- General knowledge of campus support systems.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Ability to calibrate and commission mechanical systems.
- Physical dexterity with normal sight and hearing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical school training preferred
- Valid Florida driver s license required
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Salary: $20.50 - $21.00 per hour
