Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Construction Accounting Coordinator to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $25.00 to $27.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Review and manage construction billings, progress payments, pay applications, change orders, lien releases, and COIs for all projects.
  • Follow up with vendors to ensure accurate and timely submission of construction-related documentation.
  • Prepare and review expense reports for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Organize and maintain project files, including creating new project setups and filing systems.
  • Prepare internal and external reports related to job status and update construction status reports regularly.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and MS Project for scheduling.
  • Apply strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, project managers, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Attend project meetings and document meeting notes accurately for distribution.
  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies for each project.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; construction accounting experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or project coordination within the construction industry.
  • Show familiarity with preparing development and project budgets and managing project close-out processes.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Display excellent problem-solving skills and ability to plan ahead to prevent and resolve emerging issues.
