AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to be based in Orange, CA. The Electrical Engineer will join a multidisciplinary, collaborative team with a range of expertise supporting the expansion of their knowledge base with the ability to travel and gain field experience. As part of our team, you will support a tapestry of work across markets like Commercial, Federal (Military/DoD), Healthcare, Higher Education, Sports Rec and Science Tech markets, including landmark projects in the industry.

Senior Electrical Engineer will work in a highly collaborative environment on a wide range of projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing building electrical systems and supporting junior staff. The Engineer will be responsible for performing the technical calculations and design, understanding the project requirements and the effort required to complete the work and applying critical thinking to quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution.

• Electrical engineering from conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy including writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings.
• Be competent in all aspects of building electrical systems design for a variety of types of projects or markets to complete routing engineering assignments and calculations
• Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings
• Stays current on codes and technologies appropriate for building electrical systems including power, lighting, telecommunications and fire alarm systems.
• Researches, develops, designs, specifies, and witnesses the testing of electrical systems, equipment, components, and materials, applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering.
