Office Engineer — Geotechnical (California PE Required)

About the RoleA privately held geotechnical and environmental consulting firm is seeking a California-licensed PE to join its Orange County office as an Office Engineer. This is a full-time, office-based role with occasional field responsibilities and technical collaboration across multiple offices.
Responsibilities- Lead technical report writing for geotechnical investigations and site assessments
- Collaborate with engineers and geologists across offices on diverse project types
- Support proposal development and report review as needed
- Conduct limited fieldwork for project monitoring (approx. 20%)
- Participate in client communication and project coordination
- Optional involvement in business development and mentorship
- PE license in California (required)
- BS in Civil Engineering (required for PE eligibility)
- MS in Geotechnical Engineering or related field (preferred but not required)
- 5–10 years of geotechnical experience with strong technical writing skills
- Experience with storage facilities, franchise developments, and infrastructure projects
- Lab oversight experience is a plus but not required
- Salary range: $120,000–$155,000+ depending on experience and BD capabilities
