Job SummaryThe Behavioral Specialist provides behavioral support services for individuals in the Developmental Disabilities Department. The role involves developing and supervising behavioral support plans, including restrictive interventions, and ensuring services are tailored to each client’s needs.
Duties & Responsibilities- Develop individualized behavior modification programs aligned with Person-Centered Planning.
- Monitor implementation, train staff, and update plans as needed.
- Provide behavioral input during Life Plan meetings and participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and parent conferences.
- Interface with the Office for Persons with Developmental Disabilities during audits.
- Deliver in-service training to staff.
- Monitor behavioral data and conduct functional assessments (FBAs).
- Collaborate with residential managers and staff to ensure behavioral plans address individual needs and include fade strategies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field (required).
- Minimum 2 years of specialized experience developing and overseeing behavioral support plans.
- Valid driver’s license.
Require clear communication. May need to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Total Hours Per Week: 35;
Salary: $50,000.00 – $53,000.00.
