Staff Pharmacist II – Inpatient Pharmacy – FT Night Shift

Position Summary
:
Pharmacists perform day‑to‑day responsibilities of drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing, therapeutic intervention, drug information and consultation to staff and patients, maintenance of patient profiles, attendance at cardiopulmonary emergencies, drug therapy monitoring, and drug compounding. The Staff Pharmacist directs technicians, manages inventory control, and precepts pharmacy residents, students, technicians, or interns as assigned.
This is a direct‑care provider role as defined by Pharmacy Policy.
Required Qualifications- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy.
- One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY‑1 by time of hire.
- Current knowledge of drug references, Joint Commission requirements, and other regulatory standards.
- Demonstrated customer‑service skills appropriate to the job.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Current BLS or ACLS certification upon hire.
- CA Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacist licensure in good standing.
- Ability to maintain an appropriate work pace and to extract pertinent patient information to inform treatment plans.
