Patient Admissions Coordinator - PD Evening

Under the direction of the PAS supervisor/manager, the Patient Access Representative is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as completing financial clearance functions. This individual completes the registration for unscheduled visits by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service.

This individual is also responsible for financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts. The Patient Access Representative greets and serves patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters. All information is gathered while adhering to regulation and compliance requirements and guidelines and is documented timely and accurately.

• Assist patients in the on-site registration and arrival process for both scheduled and unscheduled visits.
• Collect and verify accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Gather patient liability information when available.
• Complete financial clearance functions for scheduled accounts.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and corporate guidelines.
• Document all information accurately and in a timely manner.

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
• 3 years of experience within Patient Access in a business office setting.
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
• 3 years of medical terminology utilization in a job setting.
• Knowledge of medical billing codes.
• 1 year of experience with Epic Applications.

Base pay range: $24.00‑$30.29 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives or bonus opportunities.
