Surgical Technician

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange, Orange, CA. Full Time, 8‑hour day shifts.

$33.00/hr - $50.49/hr

Surgical technologists work under the supervision of the surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. They ensure the operating room environment is safe, equipment functions properly, and the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.

• Prepare operating room and equipment for surgery.
• Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures.
• Monitor instruments, supplies, and surgical processes.

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program.
• Obtains 6 CEUs per year.
• Upon hire:
  National Certified Surgical Technologist (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting).
• Upon hire:
  National Provider BLS (American Heart Association).

• 1 year operating room experience.
