We are looking for a highly experienced Senior BI / Data Architect / SQL Server DBA to take hands-on ownership across our enterprise data environment. This is a unique hybrid role for someone who enjoys working across business intelligence, data architecture, data engineering, and database administration rather than being limited to one area.

We are seeking a senior, hands-on data professional who can own solutions from requirements and architecture through development, deployment, optimization, and production support.

This is not simply a Power BI/dashboard development position and not a traditional DBA role. The ideal candidate can architect the solution, build it, deploy it, and support it in production.

• Design and maintain enterprise data warehouses, data marts, staging environments, semantic layers, and reporting architectures
• Develop dimensional data models utilizing fact/dimension tables, star and snowflake schemas, and historical data strategies
• Build and support production ETL/ELT pipelines using technologies such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, and T-SQL
• Integrate data across SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Azure SQL, APIs, files, and other enterprise systems
• Build governed Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting
• Develop complex T-SQL, stored procedures, views, functions, tables, indexes, and data-processing routines
• Own SQL Server performance tuning and troubleshoot queries, ETL processes, reports, blocking, deadlocks, and resource issues
• Administer production SQL Server environments, including security, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, monitoring, migrations, upgrades, and availability
• Implement data-quality, reconciliation, auditing, lineage, logging, alerting, and error-handling processes
• Ensure accuracy and consistency from source systems through final reporting
• Partner directly with business leaders, analysts, application teams, and executives to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Support SDLC, testing, UAT, deployments, change control, documentation, and production incident response
• Provide architectural guidance, code/design reviews, technical standards, and mentorship to other team members

• 8+ years of progressive experience across BI, data engineering, data warehousing, database architecture, and/or SQL Server administration
• Expert‑level SQL Server and T-SQL
• Strong hands‑on experience with data warehouse architecture and dimensional modeling
• Experience personally designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models
• Strong ETL/ELT development experience with SSIS and/or modern cloud data services
• Advanced Power BI experience including data modeling, Power Query, DAX, security, deployment, and refresh administration
