Position Summary

The Pourline Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical performance, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across the foam pouring operations. This role ensures that all pourline processes meet safety, quality, and productivity standards while supporting the development of personnel and the implementation of best practices across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for pourline‑related issues across assigned facilities.
  • Collaborate with Pourline Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors to ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs), PDCA cycles, and quality protocols.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on foam quality, process efficiency, and equipment reliability.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between plant operations and the Foam Technology team for all pourline‑related projects.
  • Support the implementation and training of new technologies, including flowmeter closed‑loop systems, Wonderware upgrades, and SAP integrations.
  • Participate in weekly tag‑ups and cross‑functional meetings to address pain points, process deviations, and quality concerns.
  • Mentor and develop Pourline Engineers and Supervisors through structured programs such as Pourline University.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting related to technical performance, training progress, and project milestones.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in foam pouring or chemical manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience in process engineering, technical troubleshooting, and team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of polyurethane foam chemistry and pourline equipment.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4

    HANA, Wonderware, and other manufacturing systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
Training & Development
  • Participation in the Pourline University Program is required, including cross‑plant training, mentorship by senior Foam Tech team members, and completion of technical and leadership modules.
Career Path

This role serves as a pipeline to senior technical leadership positions within the Foam Technology organization, including Superintendent, Corporate Technical Director, or Plant Manager roles.
