Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day-shift Oncology Infusion position requiring a CA RN license and current Chemo certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Oncology Infusion setting within an acute care hospital

• Infusion duties include 70% oncology-based therapy and 30% blood transfusion, IVIG, hydration, and iron administration

• Patient ratio of 1:4

• Four 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with Wednesdays off

• No weekend or on-call requirements

• Floating between like units and facilities within the state is required

• Epic EMR system is used and Epic experience is required

• RNs wear royal blue scrubs

• Primary responsibilities include administering chemo, infusions, and blood products to oncology patients

• This is a Magnet recognized hospital

• Free parking is available on site

• All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed

• Minimal to no requested time off is accepted; all RTO must be submitted at time of application

• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility

• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet Chemo cert and experience requirements

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required

• Current BLS and Chemo certification required

• Minimum of 1 year of oncology infusion experience required; 2 years preferred

• First-time travelers accepted only if Chemo certified with 2 or more years of experience

• Experience with blood transfusions, IVIG, hydration, and iron infusions required

• Recent supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty required

• Epic EMR experience required
