University Security Operation Command Officer
Pay and SchedulePay: $21.50 per hour to start
Schedule:
Full‑time 32 hours per week. 11 PM – 7 AM Monday & Tuesday then 7 AM – 3 PM Saturday & Sunday.
- Active Connecticut State Guard Card preferred
- Active Connecticut State Driver’s License – reliable transportation & clean motor vehicle history
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of security experience required (military / law enforcement experience may substitute)
- Calm, polite, professional demeanor
- Reliable and self‑motivated with high level customer service
- Bicycle riding seasonally required
SOC Operator positions help maintain a safe and secure environment by providing centrally managed law enforcement radio monitoring with event logging and recording, alarm monitoring of intrusion detection systems, emergency dispatch incident reporting and analysis, and remote alarm panel programming. The operator monitors a discreet central location for both video and audio for the entire client building complex, working in the user’s console.
