Release Engineer

We're growing the technology group at Citigroup and need a senior Release Engineer who treats reliability as a feature, not an afterthought. Where most technology jobs cap your reach, this Citigroup one in Orange pays $146,000 - $209,000 and widens it the longer you stay.

• Lead the Rust migration that finally retires Citigroup's ruthlessly-focused legacy stack
• Coordinate releases with stakeholders across Orange, CA and remote teams
• Keep Citigroup's Express.js CI under ten minutes so Orange, CA engineers stay in flow
• Translate the impact-driven MySQL outage into fixes that make the next Orange launch dull
• Translate fuzzy product wishes from Citigroup stakeholders into shippable Google Cloud services
• Build the Angular tooling that makes every other Orange engineer faster
• Build responsive, accessible front-end interfaces with MySQL
• Write the Flexibility integration tests that catch regressions before Orange, CA ships them

• The judgment to say no to good ideas at the wrong time
• A collaborator's reflex to share credit and absorb blame
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal oversight
• Around 5+ years of hands-on experience in a technology role
• Familiarity with Angular and related tools or frameworks

At Citigroup, the small-but-mighty Orange crew believes technology should feel boring and reliable, never thrilling and fragile. Respect for your craft and your life outside it sits at the core of how Citigroup operates.

Take home $146,000 - $209,000, build your Python under a mentor, lean on benefits, and shape a contract week that finally fits.

Actively staffed and live, this Orange, CA opening is no relic.
